Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I invest in Standard Bio Diesel?
A: Yes. Standard Bio Diesel is offering investment opportunities. Serious inquiries can call 818-719-9967.
Q: What are the benefits for fleet managers using bio-diesel in their generators and trucks versus petroleum diesel?
A: Bio diesel is a safe, clean superior diesel fuel. The outstanding aspects of biodiesel: high lubricity, high cetane number and flash point enhance the performance of diesel fuel and the engine runs cleaner. Environmentally biodiesel helps create cleaner and safer working conditions and it is carbon neutral. We will deliver it to you either at your lot or on location, reducing overtime.
Q: Is there a price difference vs. petroleum?
A: The price of B20 and B99.9 is competitive with petroleum diesel.
Q: What is the process of ordering bio-diesel and how long does it take?
A: Standard Bio Diesel works with each company to suit your needs and we will deliver biodiesel wherever and whenever it is needed.
Q: What are the quantities sold?
A: Standard Bio Diesel will make deliveries of 55 gallons or more. We are capable of up to 8000 gallons in one delivery.
Q: Are there any problems or side effects with bio diesel?
A: Biodiesel handles like petroleum diesel and uses the same infrastructure for transport, storage and use. At higher blend levels biodiesel may deteriorate natural rubber or polyurethane foam materials. Viton hoses and gaskets are a good replacement. Biodiesel is also a highly effective solvent and may even remove paint. For this reason older engines using higher blends should change fuel filters until all deposits of petroleum diesel have been removed. Standard Bio Diesel will closely monitor all trucks and generators supplied with their biodiesel to safeguard against filter clogging.
Q: Can current generators use bio-diesel now or do they need to be converted?
A: No conversion is necessary in any diesel engine. Rubber hoses and rubber gaskets do not have to be changed when using B20 blends. If the generators or trucks have Viton hoses and gaskets then no conversion is necessary when using B99.9.
